Hardhat Digital LLC (“Hardhat Digital,” “we,” “us”) builds websites and lead systems for home-service contractors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Plain-English summary: We collect only what we need to talk to you, build your project, and run the services you pay for. We don’t sell your data. Booking info submitted through sites we build belongs to our client (the contractor) and is handled on their behalf.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors of hardhatdigital.io and to our clients. It also describes how we handle data on behalf of clients whose websites and booking systems we operate — in that role we act as a service provider to the contractor, who controls that data.

2. Information we collect

Contact details you give us — name, business name, email, phone — when you book a call, email us, or become a client.
Project information needed to build your site, such as your services, hours, logos, and photos.
Billing information processed through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
Basic site analytics such as pages visited and general location, collected to improve our site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.

3. Booking data on client websites

When we build and host a booking or dispatch system for a contractor, homeowners may submit details like name, phone, address, and the service they need. That information is collected on behalf of our client (the contractor) and shared with them to provide the requested service. The contractor is responsible for how they use it. We process it only to operate the system.

4. How we use information

To respond to inquiries and schedule calls.
To design, build, deliver, host, and support your project.
To send invoices and process payments.
To operate the dispatch and notification features you pay for.
To improve our services and communicate important updates.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Service providers that help us operate — for example, hosting, payment processing, e-signature, and email tools — under agreements that limit their use of it.
Our client contractor, in the case of booking data submitted through their site.
Authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Cookies & analytics

Our site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals. No personal data is collected through analytics. You can control any other cookies through your browser settings.

7. Data security & retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal and accounting obligations, or until you ask us to delete it where applicable.

8. Your choices & rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages. Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA), you may have additional rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date.
